Mark and I have talked about starting a blog for years. Friends and family suggested it, and after mulling it over for too long we finally decided to jump in with both feet. Over time we plan to make this a place for sharing our experiences, photos, how-tos, travel inspirations, and more.
While we’re newbies when it comes to blogging, we’re veteran travelers. Between the two of us we’ve been to (in no particular order): India, Switzerland, Botswana, Turkey, South Africa, Austria, Costa Rica, Italy, Namibia, France, Zambia, Greece, Thailand, Germany, Tanzania, England, Cambodia, Belize, Australia, Sudan, Canada, New Zealand, Belgium, St. Lucia, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, the British Virgin Islands, and much of the U.S.
We’ve traveled lots of different ways — in planes, trains, and automobiles, in coach and first-class, solo and together, camping in tents, staying in luxury hotels, and sleeping on sofas or inflatable mattresses. We’ve learned a few things along the way, including that there’s no single “right” way to do it, that when it comes to packing we prefer to bring less every time, that where there’s a will there’s usually a way, and that the answer to the question “Should I go?” is almost always “Yes!”
We hope you’ll join us as we begin this new adventure, and hope you’ll be inspired to get out there too. It’s a big wide world! If you’re anything like us, you might be just as surprised by what you can find exploring in your own backyard as you are on a remote continent.
Let us know what you think!
